All members are required to record a demo in the ladder matches, including this ladder for roc mod.
If you do not do not have it, please Download it Here!. Then unzip and place the demo.cfg in your sof2/base/mp folder. When you first join a game, bring down your console and type the following:
\exec demo
The start and stop button or key is set to "8". You can change this in the config to anything you like. Once you press 8, the demo recording starts, press eight again, the demo recording stops.
Playing a demo Just Recorded:
Now when you record a demo, the game itself, places the demo in a folder called demos in the mod you were playing in.
Ex:
1 - If you just receorded a demo in osp, then the demo would appear in sof2/osp/demos/demo00002.dm_2004
2 - If you just receorded a demo in rocmod, then the demo would appear in sof2/rocmod/demos/demo00002.dm_2004
3 - If you just receorded a demo in ics, then the demo would appear in sof2/ics/demos/demo00002.dm_2004
OK now you have to make a folder called demos and place it in your sof2/base folder so the exact path would be /sof2/base/demos. Then you would move the just recorded demo from the mod/demos folder and place it in sof2/base/demos/ folder so the exact path would be sof2/base/demos/demo00002.dm_2004 . Now once this file has been moved, start your game and either join or server or at the server listing screen do the following.
Bring down your console and type"
/demo demo00004.dm_2004
The demo should load and you will see it. Now once you press esc, the demo stops playing. There are other programs that you can find at www.soffiles.com which comes with fast forward, slow, rewind and neat little features as such.
